Employee Qualifications Maintenance
Enables you to assign qualifications to an employee.
Note: Before using this option you must have already defined the qualifications and components using Qualification Definition and Qualification Component Definition respectively.
General
Occ Category
Display only. The employee's occupational category.
Level
Display only. The employee's occupational level.
Qualification Level
Display only. The employee's qualification level.
Current Structure
Displays a tree structure of the employee's current qualification structure.
Note: You can view further details about the employee, qualification or the component by right-clicking the appropriate folder, and selecting ‘Properties’ to display Employee Summary, Employee Qualification Details or Employee Qualification Components Details respectively.
You can create a qualification structure as follows:
- Right-click on a folder and select 'Add Qualification' to display Qualification ID Selection with Effective Date where you can select a qualification.
Note: If the qualification added has a course attached, the Maintain Training Required screens are updated to include the course.
- Select a qualification which is no longer required, right-click and select ‘Delete Qualification’. The qualification and all components are removed from the current qualification structure.
Employee / Qualification / Component
Note: The combination of fields displayed varies, depending on which folder has been selected.
Identifier
Display only. The selected qualification, component or employee ID.
Description
Display only. The description of the qualification or component.
Start Date
Display only. The date when the employee started in employment, or the date when the employee started the qualification or component.
End Date
Display only. The employee's end date, or the date when the employee finished the qualification or component.
Obsolete Date
Display only. The date when the qualification or component becomes obsolete.
Course ID
Display only. The ID of the course associated with the selected component.
Buttons
Show Type / Show Desc / Show IDs
Click this button to toggle the qualification's and component's name between type, description and ID. The name of the button changes depending on which view is currently selected.
Undo
Click this button to undo any changes you have made to the employee's current qualification structure. You can undo 5 changes.
Redo
Click this button to redo any changes that you have undone from the employee's current qualification structure. You can redo 5 changes.
Find
Click this button to display Search Criteria, where you can search for a component.
Note: You can also right-click on a component and select 'Find' to display Search Criteria, and then 'Find Next' as required.
Find Next
Click this button to search for the next occurrence of the search string entered in Search Criteria.
Doclink
Click this button to display Document Viewer, where you can view the contents of the DOCLINK folder associated with the qualification.
