Enables you to specify rollback parameters for the rollback entitlement type.

To access this window, enter fast path HR195S2, enter the Parameter ID, select Entitlement from the navigation panel and window in to Rollback Parms.

General

Entitlement Allocation Type

Enter D or P to indicate whether the entitlement is allocated on a daily or percentage basis.

Note: For Republic of Ireland payrolls, the Entitlement Allocation Type field defaults to P and cannot be amended. To set the Entitlement Allocation Type field to D, select the Apply SWB and Occupational Pattern differs to Benefit Deduction Pattern check boxes in Non-UK Benefit Details.

Exclude Unpaid Days

Only available if Entitlement Allocation Type is set to D. Set to Y if unpaid days are to be excluded from the entitlement.

Linkage Days

Enter the maximum number of days that can elapse between absences, in order for those absences to be linked. This field is optional. If a value is entered, further options become available.

Link Abs of Same Reason

Only available if a value is set in Linkage Days. Enter Y if only absences of the same reason should be linked. If N or blank, absences of different reasons may be linked.

Contiguous Absence of Same Cat

Specify whether consecutive absences can be treated as a single contiguous absences. If blank, consecutive absences are always treated as contiguous. Enter Y if consecutive absences should be treated as contiguous only if they are of the same category and code, or N if consecutive absences are never to be treated as contiguous.

Rollback Method

Period Type To Be Used

Enter W or M to indicate whether the period type used to determine the rollback period is weekly or monthly.

Employee Start Date Anniversary

Enter the number of periods to roll back from the employee’s start date anniversary in relation to the absence start year, if this method is used.

Absence Start Date (Linked)

Enter the number of periods to roll back from the linked absence start date.

Absence Start Date (Continuous)

This field is not enabled if the Contiguous Abs of Same Cat field in Rollback Parameters is set to N. Enter the number of periods to roll back from the continuous absence start date.

Absence Start Date (Current)

Enter the number of periods to roll back from the current absence start date.

Each Day As Process

Enter the number of periods to roll back from each day of the absence.

Specific Period

Enter the number of periods to roll back from a specific period, where the specific period is specified in the format of DDMM in relation to the absence start year in the adjacent field.

Use Cont & Exclude Spanning

This field is only enabled if the Specific Period field is populated. Enter Y to calculate the rollback start date as follows for continuous and spanning absences:

Use Specific Date for Service

This field is only enabled if the Use Cont & Exclude Spanning is set to Y. Enter Y to calculate the service from the specific period date on or before the employee’s start date to the specific period date on or before the absence start date. If the specific period dates are the same date (i.e. there are no occurrences of the specific period date between the employee start date and the absence start date), then the service calculation will use the actual dates.

Extend Rollback Start Date

This check box is not enabled if the Specific Period field is populated. Select this check box to extend the rollback start date to an earlier date where an absence of the same type crosses the start date of the rollback period. This period may be further extended if that absence has earlier (continuous) absences of the same type.

Additional Cap Period

Enter the number of periods to use for the additional rollback period, which is used to cap entitlement. You should then specify additional entitlement periods in Rollback Entitlement - Service Based.

Payment / Entitlement Pattern

Entitlement Days Pattern

Enter N for non-working days and Y for working days, starting with Sunday, to specify the weekly working pattern used for entitlement. This determines which days should be deducted from the entitlement. A typical Monday to Friday working week would be indicated by NYYYYYN.

Payment Days Pattern

Enter N for non-working days and Y for working days, starting with Sunday, to specify the weekly working pattern used for to determine the days for which payment should be made.

Note: You can only specify one pattern for payment and one pattern for entitlement in the following three fields:

Use Payment Days

Enter one of the following to use the payment days pattern: P for payments, E for entitlements, Y for both or N for none.

Use Entitlement Days

Enter one of the following to use the entitlement days pattern: P for payments, E for entitlements, Y for both or N for none.

Use Employee Work Pattern

Enter one of the following to use the employee’s work pattern: P for payments, E for entitlements, Y for both or N for none.

Benefit Deduction Days Pattern

Display only. Displays the benefit deduction pattern. This field is only displayed when the Occupational Pattern differs to Benefit Deduction check box is selected in Non UK Benefit Details.

Calculate Work Time Lost

Select this check box to record lost work hours due to sickness for reporting purposes.

Use Emp WP for WTL

This field is only displayed when the Calculate Work Time Lost check box is selected. Enter N to use the default work pattern to derive lost hours, Y to use the employee's work pattern to derive lost hours or I to ignore the work pattern for employees who do not have any work pattern details.

The lost hours are primarily derived using the work pattern specified in the Use Emp WP for WTL field, however, the settings of the No Times field in Employee Work Patterns and the Does Absence Require a Planned Work Time? check box in MyView Absence Parameters also affect the derivation of lost hours. Click this button to display Waiting Days Parameters, where you can define the parameters used to determine the number of waiting days for a sickness absence.
