Leave Management
Display Absence Type Indicator
Enter one of the following codes to specify how absence types are displayed for selection in the Absence Type field in Employee Absence Entry, Absence Entry, Employee Absence Entitlement, Absence Entitlement Calculation and Absence Entitlement Buy & Sell:
- Display all absence types for selection.
- Display only the absence types for selection that are associated with the employee's service conditions.
- Display the Assoc check box before the Absence Type field to enable the user to specify whether all absence types are displayed, or only the absence types that are associated with the employee's service conditions.
Entitlement to Projected End Date
Select this check box if the entitlement for employees on a fixed term contract should be ended in line with their contract end date. Employees are deemed to be on a fixed term contract if the Projected End Date field on the Contract tab in Employee Post Holding Details is populated with a contract end date.
When this check box is selected, the Apply Projected End Date check box is available in Leave Parameters Additional Detail for ACTUAL, ANNUAL and ACCRUAL entitlement types.
Average Weekly worked hours
Enter the average number of worked hours per week. This value can be used to prorate absence entitlement for ANNUAL entitlement types in Leave Parameters Additional Detail if required.
Average Weeks per year
Enter the average number of worked weeks per year. This value can be used to prorate absence entitlement for ANNUAL entitlement types in Leave Parameters Additional Detail if required.
Bypass CSV Absence Load Time Validation
Select this check box to prevent absence start and end times being validated against the employee's work pattern when importing absence details via Load Leave Management Details from CSV. If you select this check box, you must ensure that you also import the absence work pattern before processing the absence, otherwise the resulting entitlement or payment calculation could be incorrect.
Allow Concurrent Sickness and Holiday
This check box should only be selected for UK legislation types. Select this check box to allow concurrent (overlapping) holiday type and sickness type absences to be entered. You must specify the concurrency type for absence types that are permitted to overlap via Absence Type Definition. Concurrent absence periods must be entered as full days, must not start on the same day, must not be of the same absence type and only one can be open-ended.
Post Entl Termination Payment to 0000/00
Select this check box to post entitlement termination payments (intended for the current period) to the 0000/00 period. When this check box is blank, entitlement termination payments are posted to the current period. If this check box is blank and the employee is in the payroll, the payments are posted to the following pay period instead.
Suppress SSP on Standard Date
Select this check box to suppress SSP on Standard Dates when processing an absence with the Standard Date parameter set to I - Include. The SSP amount will not be generated and the SSP reason will be set to STNDTE.
Report Warnings After Exhaustion
Select this check box to always display the warning message for exhaustion of RLBACK entitlement each time the absence is processed. If not selected, the warning message will only be displayed when processing the period of absence in which the exhaustion occurs.
Check for LGPS Absence Revaluation
Select this check box to enable the revaluation of Assumed Pensionable Pay (APP) in the Leave Management module for employees in LGPS CARE schemes who are on long term sickness for more than 12 months.
Note: Switching on the revaluation will increase the time taken to process long running sickness records. It is recommended that unless there are definitely records that require revaluation, the revaluation should not be switched on.
Use Pay/CG History for Average Pay Cut-Off Date
Select this check box to cause Leave Management to use the Pay Group and Control Group employee start date to determine the Average Pay Cut-Off Date.
If blank, Leave Management will use the payslip history to find a payslip with a different pay frequency to the one being used for the Average Pay calculation. If a different pay frequency is found, use that payslip's period start date as the Cut-Off date.
Suppress Errors on missing Abs Parameter (Pay Type)
Select this check box to cause Leave Management to produce a warning message and to use the current Pay Type held on the Employee record to retrieve the absence parameters. This replaces the error message generated when the system cannot retrieve the Pay Type due to incorrect Pay Group History. In the situation where there is no Current Pay Type on the Employee record, the error will still be produced.
ROI Illness Benefit - Assume Continuous
Select this check box to consider absences as continuous for purposes of ROI Illness Benefit when there are no working days between them. This only applies to absences in the same or consecutive weeks.
