Qualifying Days
Enables you to view the hours lost through absence, compared to the relevant work pattern session details. The work pattern is derived according to the settings in Leave Management Parameters. If the work pattern has session details attached, these are used, if not the default system hours are used.
Note: The work pattern details are displayed from Sunday through to Saturday, irrespective of the day on which the absence started.
To access this window, enter fast path HR195S4, window in to the Detail field then window in to the Hours Lost field.
Paging Area
Day, Date
Display only. The day and date to which the line applies.
Working Day
Displays Y if the day is a working day, N if not, and B if it is designated as a standard day, which can be amended if required.
Hrs/day
Displays the number of working hours per day specified in the relevant working pattern for the day on the current line, which can be amended if required.
Hrs Lost
Displays the numbers of hours lost to absence. You can amend the hours lost if required, providing the hours lost does not exceed the number of working hours for a given day.
Work Time Lost
This field is only displayed when the Calculate Work Time Lost check box in Rollback Settings is selected. Displays the numbers of work hours lost to absence. You can amend the work hours lost if required.
Absent
Displays Y if you have recorded the employee as being absent for the day on the current line.
Ent
This field is only available for ROLLBACK entitlement types. Displays Y if the day should be deducted from entitlement, which is derived from the pattern set specified in Rollback Parameters.
Pay
This field is only available for ROLLBACK entitlement types. Displays Y if the day should be paid, which is derived from the pattern set specified in Rollback Parameters.
SSL
This field is only available for ROLLBACK entitlement types for which Republic of Ireland statutory sick leave applies. Displays Y if the day qualifies for statutory sick leave, which is derived from the pattern set specified in Rollback Parameters and the Apply SSL check box is selected in the Non-UK Special Rules.
Ded
This field is only available for non-UK ROLLBACK entitlement types. Displays Y if the benefit deduction should be paid, which is derived from the pattern set specified in Rollback Parameters.
SSP
This field is only available for entitlement types to which SSP applies. Displays Y if the day qualifies for SSP based on the SSP work pattern.
Part
Displays Y if the day is flagged as a part day. The day is flagged as a part day when the hours lost are changed and do not match the hours per day on a workday during a sickness absence. Part days are not included as Period of Incapacity Work and therefore no SSP will be paid for those days.
Note: If the corresponding absence parameter requires a PWT, the SSP qualifying days are derived from the employee's control group for absences with zero hours.

Pattern
Click CONTINUE to display one of the following windows if you are adding a new absence period:
- Absence Daily Detail - this is displayed for all entitlement types except Rollback and enables you to view details for each day of the absence period. You can override the units to be deducted or paid, if required.
- Absence Daily Detail - this is displayed for rollback entitlement types and is the equivalent of Absence Daily Detail (2).
