Employee Current Post Details
Enables you to view and maintain details of the employee’s current posts. You can also add new posts to the employee and end current posts.
To access this screen, enter fast path HREMPALL and select the employee, then select Current Post Holding in the navigation panel.
Note: When adding a new post, if you have enabled the MISC > POST COPY > POST COPY system parameter, you will be asked whether you want to Copy Details From Another Post. If you enter Yes then you can select from which post you want to copy employee post holding details.
In addition, if you have enabled the MISC > WPSESSION > COPY system parameter, the work pattern session details will be included in the copy routine.
Paging Area
Start
Enter the date when the employee started or is due to start in the post.
Post
Enter the new post ID if you are adding a post or select one by clicking WINDOW to display Post Selection. You can add historic dated posts if required, providing they are concurrent.
When you enter a new post ID, the following checks and actions are performed:
- If you use the Talent and Performance functionality, a dialog box is displayed asking whether you want to create the corresponding review. If you choose to create the review for the post holding, Create Review is displayed for you to define the review record.
- If the post being attached to the employee has employment checks defined, Employment Checks is displayed listing the associated checks. These checks are then included in Individual Employment Checks against the employee.
- If the post being attached to the employee has Background Checking check groups defined, Background Checking View Check Groups is displayed listing the associated check groups. You can delete check groups if required. The remaining check groups are then included in Background Checking Maintain Check Requests against the employee.
- If the post being attached to the employee has assets specified, Asset Requirements is displayed listing the associated assets. These assets are then included in Employee Assets Management against the employee.
- Any default based pay elements that have been defined against this post and exist in the ADDPEP pay element category are automatically added to the employee.
- Any post level e-Learning courses are automatically copied to the employee's Training Required record if the Auto-Copy? check box in E-Learning System Parameters is selected.
- If the MISC > AEMULTPOST > ALLOWCOPY system parameter is set to Y and the employee is classed as a Multiple Contract AES employee, Copy Existing Post AE Details is displayed, where you can copy auto enrolment details from an existing post if required.

Display only. Indicates if this post is the main post.
Grade
Display only. The ID of the grade associated with the post.
Status
Display only. The code representing the status of the position, for example, full-time or part-time.
N
Click window to display Maintain Note Detail, where you can enter any notes or comments you want to record.
Detail
Click WINDOW to display Employee Post Holding Details, where you can maintain further details about the employee’s current post.
Summary
Click window to display Employee Post Holding Summary, where you can view further details about the employee’s current post.
Note: If you make changes that affect an employee’s holiday entitlement, you may be prompted to Re-calculate Holiday Entitlement depending on your system settings. If you click Yes, the holiday entitlement is recalculated and Display Holiday Entitlement Changes is displayed.

Post Linking
Click this button to display Post-to-Post Taken Entitlement Link, where you can link the selected post’s entitlement to a previous post’s OSP entitlement for multi-post sickness purposes.
Leave Post Linking
Click this button to display Post-to-Post Taken Entitlement Link, where you can link the selected post’s entitlement to a previous post’s entitlement in leave management.
